Car Connect

Project: Car Connect – Optimizing EV Charging UX

The Problem
Electric vehicle owners face "range anxiety" due to fragmented networks and cluttered interfaces that make finding available stations stressful during transit.

The Solution
Car Connect utilizes a "Minimal Aesthetics" approach to reduce cognitive load. By implementing a sleek, high-contrast dark mode and a "Small Color Palette," the UI highlights essential actions like real-time station booking. This "Consistent System" allows users to locate and reserve a plug in under three taps. Crucially, the palette was specifically engineered to pass WCAG 2.1 AA compliance for contrast, ensuring the interface remains accessible for users with visual impairments or in high-glare driving conditions.

The Impact & System Thinking
The redesign aims to reduce time-to-task by 35% and project a 20% increase in user retention through a more reliable "User Journey." By building a modular Design System of reusable components—from station cards to custom iconography—the project ensures seamless developer handoff and scalability. This holistic approach ensures every touchpoint, from the landing page to the booking confirmation, speaks a unified, accessible visual language.
